About Dr. Ricky Kauser, MD

I am a board certified internal medicine physician and the founder of Helix Internal Medicine in Southlake, Texas. I created Helix with a simple goal: to bring the focus of medicine back to patients by providing care that is personal, attentive, and accessible. 

Born and raised in Texas, I grew up in Keller. I always planned to return to DFW to care for the community where I was raised. My medical training took me to Grenada, New Jersey, New York, and Pittsburgh, giving me diverse clinical experiences that shaped my approach to patient care. 

Returning home to North Texas, I practiced 10 years in a traditional model of medicine. I founded Helix Internal Medicine to provide the kind of personal, accessible care that too often gets lost in today's healthcare system. My clinical interests include education, prevention, and management of chronic conditions, and comprehensive care for adults of all ages. 

Outside the clinic, I enjoy teaching and mentoring young doctors and spending time with my family and I am thankful to be giving back and raising my own family in the same community where I grew up.
